As a Service Provider, you are a vital customer-facing ambassador of the company and following these steps will help you successfully perform an assignment.
Stay aware: Your assignments are listed in the Schedule tab in the app or in the browser you can look at the Dashboard or the My Schedule tab.
Monitor notifications: You will receive notifications announcing assignments and any changes to those assignments via several methods:
- The first method is via in-app notifications. Depending on your mobile device notification settings, you will see these in your device Notifications area, the Lock Screen, and temporary or persistent banners. You can also view all notifications by clicking the Notifications area in the app:
- The second method is via email notifications.
- The third method is via system notifications in the upper right screen corner (bell icon). Click the bell and any notification to link to the affected assignment.
Read: Documentation relevant to the assignment(s) are included in the Work Events. Ask the Project team for guidance on any questions or concerns you may have.
Check-in: Upon arrival at the service location, check-in on time in ServiceDemand. You must enable ‘location services’ in your phone’s settings and allow the app to use your location while using the app to check-in and out of Work Events.
[PRO TIP] You must be within a 1 mile radius of the service location in order to check-in and out UNLESS the Work Event has been designated as Virtual when created thereby allowing you to check-in and out from anywhere for Work Events such as online training seminars, etc.
Communicate: Stay in touch with the Project team on progress, delays, issues, and questions via in-app messages, phone calls, or email.
Perform all work.
Manage Assets (if applicable): If managed Assets are part of the work, edit Asset data to reflect correct status, condition, and usage. Also, add and/or remove assets from the Work Event as appropriate. [See Work Event Assets]
Customer sign-off: Get the customer sign off (if required).
Upload all deliverables. These are noted in the Service Provider Instructions but are normally photos, sign-off sheets, and other relevant documentation for the work that was completed.
Departure approval: Get approval to check-out from the Project team (if required).
Check-out: Ensure all work is complete and the site is left in the condition the customer expects. If not, you must contact the Project team so details may be logged to ensure any appropriate follow-up is scheduled.
Set Work Event to Complete: If the work is complete, you are released (if required), and you have entered your final check-out, then click the Complete button in the app or the Complete Work Event button in the browser to move the assignment to a Completed by Provider status.
You are done!
