When an asset is worked on or has any change in location, condition, or use, it should be noted in the asset profile in ServiceDemand.  

  1. In the Assets List screen, click the edit icon on the asset to open the Update Asset screen. 
  2. Make entries as necessary to reflect changes in:
    1. ASSET USE
    2. ASSET CONDITION
    3. ASSET LOCATION TYPE
      1. On Site: At a location that is not one of the next three
      2. Warehoused: Usually a ready spare and located in a warehouse or ready-to-issue location
      3. In Transit: Moving from one location to another
      4. Personal Use: Assigned to an employee for use.  Usually a mobile device like laptop or mobile phone
    4. ASSET LOCATION ADDRESS
    5. SELECT REPLACEMENT: If the asset is being swapped, use the Select box or barcode scanner to identify the replacement asset
    6. SELECT NEW PARENT: If this asset is a component (Child)  of another asset (Parent) , and is moving to a new parent, use the Select box or barcode scanner to identify the new Parent asset.
  3. Click Save Updates
